In 2017 just one year out of college, founder Robbie Madfis found himself working long hours for a startup company. He found solace in the kitchen by experimenting with novel and sometimes strange combinations. Once 2018 rolled around, he quit his startup job and fully committed himself to small passion projects through food. When a good friend of his challenged him to create a dessert recipe that was gluten-free, nut-free, and vegan, he knew he had met his match. The combination of dried fruit, chocolate, seed butter, and spice produced a magical flavor that eventually led to the creation of Hot Dates. Made right here in Boston, MA, Robbie and the other members of Hot Dates drive to push the boundaries of food and expand your palates.
